BEHIND THE DRINK

The story & background

Campari traces the Negroni story to Florence in 1919, when an Americano was strengthened by replacing soda water with gin. Today the gin, Campari and sweet-vermouth combination is a recognized classic.

This spirit-led drink depends on accurate measures and controlled dilution. Stir with fresh ice until chilled; choose the base spirit first, then use the supporting ingredients in the written proportions.
